Taking it easy along the Columbia river and driving up to Mt. Hood after a rainshower.

From Mt. Rainier to Mt. Hood through Mt. Helens and winding forest roads.

After a lot of driving the day prior, the day was spent relaxing in Seattle and driving to Mt. Rainier National Park.

Roaming around moss-covered temperate rainforests and of Olympic National Park. Catching a sunset view of getting on a ferry to Seattle and sleeping close to the Space Needle.

Leaving the Oregon coast behind for the wetlands and rainforests of Washington state.

Slowly and tiredly inching away along the Oregon coast, with views of sand dunes and capes along the coast.

Leaving California behind and roaming around the south Oregon coast.

Revisiting Mattole Road and redwoods state parks. Less driving got offset by a nice, long hike in the redwoods.

The first day of the road trip involved getting away north from the Bay area through some mountains, redwood forests and along the Pacific coast. I ended up sleeping at the Lost Coast.
